Please read our Principal's opening of the school year letter.

They are looking to start a student advisory group at the Hawaii Science and Technology Museum (located in downtown Hilo about Jackie Rey's). With this committee, aimed at serving the kids in East Hawaii, they want to give students a voice as to what projects they will be sponsoring each month and throughout the year.

Please see the flyer for contact information. Girl Scouts is not held at Kaꞌūmana Elementary School.

All students will be receiving free breakfast and lunches for this school year. Additional meals or meal items taken will be charged a normal rate.

Parents are highly encouraged to continue to submit their Free and Reduced Price Lunch Meal Benefits applications online.

The cost per child to attend the A+ Program is $120 (not $160 as previously announced).

This program is open to all Kaumana Elementary students who will be in grades K-6 for the upcoming school year. The office is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (except holidays.) Free weekly COVID-19 antigen testing available for students in grades K-6. This testing program is optional and will start on June 21 for all students who are participating in in-person summer learning. Please complete your child’s enrollment process as soon as possible.
